i am trying to run a web cam live video stream .... i have found a program but it says i have to set my router to port 80 im not even sure how to get the router up never mind change the port any 1 know the router is a netopia

Try logging on your router, then under advanced settings click on forwarding and check to see if UPandP( UP and P stands for Universal Plug and Play which is what the majority of devices that connect with a USB plug are) is enabled, if it isn't, enable it and it should then open the port for you.
To access the router you need to type the address for yours, it ususally starts 192.168 and then it could be either .1.0 or .1.1 , into your web browser.

I think what you need to know is how to do %26quot;Port Forwarding%26quot; on your router. This will accept Internet connections and forward them to your box inside.
