I am able to forward port 3389 to the machine I want to remote control but when I change the port RDP listens on for that machine to something else I cannot connect. Using Port Query from inside my LAN it appears that the port is indeed being listened too, but I can%26#039;t get the same result from the other side of the router.|||you can go into your router on any port and keep the default port on all your machines.
like if you had machine 1 2 and 3 you would connect to your external ip at HOST:3389 for machine 1 HOST:3390 machine 2 and HOST:3391 for machine 3
then set your rules to listen on 3389 and forward to 3389 on machine 1, listen on 3390 and forward to 3389 on machine 2 and listen on 3391 and forward to 3389 on machine 3

I need to change the COM port number that my Belkin serial to USB adapter uses. It currently uses COM6, but the program I am using only goes up to COM4. How can I change the COM port number so that it is using COM4 instead of COM6. I have a HP 4550n color laser printer (C7086A) with a JetDirect 610n (J4169A) network/print server installed. The printer had it%26#039;s own IP address and was working fine for years through a D-link 707P router until the router died. I connected the printer direct to my PC using the original HP parallel cable (C29460) and changed the port to LPT1. I can not get the PC (HP Pavilion w/Windows XP Home Edition) to recognize the printer. I%26#039;ve tried reinstalling the printer with the original installation disk, reinstalling the printer with “add a printer” (with and without auto-detect feature), tried “add new hardware”, updating the driver, changing ports, disabling the high-speed parallel interface, cold reset, tried another cable (HP #8120-8668), tried removing the network card and then rebooting the printer in hopes it would default to the parallel port, but nothing works.
I know the parallel port on my PC and the cable is working because I can print to my HP 3100, however the 3100 is host based and uses it’s own port created by the software and does not use LPT1. Is there anyone out there with advanced knowledge that could give detailed suggestions on troubleshooting this either from the PC or the printer control panel?

I just bought 3 copies of vnc enterprise for my home computes and i want to connect to them from work. My work has the viewer installed and my home has the server installed. I would like step by step instructions on how to do this. I use it at home localy great but was wondering if i had to change ports or configure it on my router or what.?.|||Gee, I hope you did not spend too much. If no one is entering, then the game will most likely have high lat(lag). That is because of your firewall which isnt allowing traffic so close it then host.

Can I change USB port power?

I wanna connect multiple computers in one household so that I can remote desktop into them. My idea is to have my home router redirect certain ports to certain computers... What other device? "Another device is already using the port???"?
Basically i%26#039;ve loaded Tisacali dial up software for them %26amp; when we go to dial the modem says that the port is already in use (error 663) I%26#039;ve looked in the device manager %26amp; cant find anything out of place. You will want to open up the ports for your game and point them to your IP address. Keep in mind that if your games stop working your IP address might have changed.

I need to know how to identify the school router and if im able to know what the school router is, i would also like to know how i can change port numbers in my computer system so then i can access to various of websites without the school blocking my system. Are there anyways that i can do that? I would also like brief instructions of how to change the port numbers =P thanks.|||i%26#039;m sure its possible maybe but if you get caught doing that...and you probably would if you have to ask how to do that...then you will be in more trouble than it is worth. I know a guy that got expelled from college for tampering w/ network settings etc trying to get past different security systems the school set up
How do you change port of wireless controller on XBOX 360
My friend just got an XBOX 360 and rock band. He wanted to play bass with the controller, since his brother was using his only guitar. But the problem is when the wireless controller connects, it goes to port 3, but to use it for bass, it needs to be in port 4. How do I change this?|||unplug all the cords and the hard drive.
