BitTorrent Speed?
Several things can cause limited download speeds. First, your maximum possible download speed. You're never gonna be able to download faster than is allowable by your internet connection; so slow connection = slow download. Second the ratio of seeders/peers. If there are fewer people uploading than downloading, then you won't be able to download as fast. Also if there aren't as many people in general, it will go slower.
As for ways to improve your download speed, first check in your settings (varies by the bit torrent client you use) to make sure you don't have a limit set as to the maximum dowload rate possible. Also, removing or increasing the maximum upload speed can help, as it is possible to set it so that you can restrict who you upload to, based on their upload speeds. If people are doing that, you won't be recieving the files because they aren't sending them to you. Ummm.. other than that, sometimes if you just wait the speed will increase over time, but it can take a long time sometimes.

I think your on dial-up, that is how my speed is. It is hard to increase the download speed, especially on dial-up. Your best bet would be to see if your internet provider offers high-speed, because there isn't much help for dial-up.
