how do i access my router on my comp on vista. i want to change ports but i can not find it in programs. how can i find it
How do i access my router?
If it is a Linksys Router (this may work with other brands as well) then you can simply open a web browser and type 192.168.1.1 in your address bar and press enter or go. that will open up a login. if you or anyone else has never accessed the router settings before then your password and user name should be the defualt.
User name: [Leave it Blank]
Password: admin
Then (again if you have linksys..it may be similar for other brands tho) you click applications and gaming. You can then port forward there.
