How can i get My Book to work again?

My 1tb My Book wont show up on my computer. I know its connected because it makes the connection noise and it shows up that i can eject it but nothing else happens and its showing a steady blue light. Im using a Acer Aspire laptop with Windows 7. I've already tried reinstalling the drivers and restarting my computer and changing usb port.
